Current Work
I am a doctoral researcher at Northumbria University in Newcastle investigating perceptions of risk and socioeconomic inequalities in health. My PhD is supervised by Dr Gillian Pepper and Dr Liz Sillence. I also work as a researcher within the Psychology and Communication Technology Lab at Northumbria exploring a range of public health issues using both quantitative and qualitative methods. I have held fellowships with the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, the Alan Turing Institute and have most recently conducted research for the Centre for Digitial Citizens and INTUIT project. Background After studying philosophy at the University of Warwick, I worked as a corporate solicitor in the North East of England. I then enjoyed several years as an English teacher in Hue, Vietnam and Aranda de Duero, Spain before returning to the UK to pursue a career in academia. I commenced my PhD in January 2021 and hope to continue carrying out health research upon completion. |
